Integrations
This guide covers the two integrations most recruiters set up first — email (Gmail) and LinkedIn — and explains where to manage all your connected accounts. Connecting these accounts is what lets Campaigns send outreach on your behalf and lets Messages include LinkedIn steps.
Where do I find my integrations?
Vitae has two places for integrations depending on what you are connecting.
Organization-level integrations (LinkedIn, CRM syncs, and more):
- Open the Settings area from the main navigation.
- In the left sidebar, under the Organization heading, click Integrations.
- The page title reads Integrations and shows a grid of provider cards — LinkedIn, Calendars, Slack, HubSpot, Greenhouse, Lever, and others.
Personal integrations (your own LinkedIn and calendar accounts):
- Open the Settings area from the main navigation.
- In the left sidebar, under the Personal heading, click Integrations.
- The page lands on the Calendars tab by default. Switch to the LinkedIn tab to manage your personal LinkedIn connection.
Tip: The organization Integrations page shows the LinkedIn card with an Available badge. Clicking it opens a side panel that lets you connect and manage LinkedIn accounts — the same flow as Personal > Integrations > LinkedIn.
How do I connect Gmail for campaigns?
Email account connection is found on the Campaigns page, not in Settings.
- In the left navigation, go to Campaigns (under the Automation section).
- In the top-right area of the Campaigns page, click Connect Account (the button with a mail icon).
- The Connect a New Account modal opens. Two provider rows appear:
- Google — G-Suite / Gmail
- LinkedIn — Professional networking & messaging
- Click the Google row.
- The modal switches to a Connecting… screen with a loading spinner. Your browser will redirect to Google to authorize the connection.
- Complete the Google sign-in and permission prompt in the browser.
- When Vitae receives the confirmation, you will see a toast: “Google account connected successfully!”
Once connected, the Campaigns page shows Email Account(s) with a Connected label in the accounts summary. When configuring a campaign’s Account To Use field, your Gmail address will appear as a sender option.
What if I need to disconnect a Gmail account?
- On the Campaigns page, find the connected accounts summary.
- Click the actions for the account you want to remove.
- The Revoke Gmail Access modal opens, showing the email address and a warning that active campaigns using this account will stop sending.
- Click Revoke Access to confirm, or Keep Connected to cancel.
Tip: If you try to launch a campaign without a connected email account, Vitae shows an Account Connection Required prompt with a Connect Email button that takes you straight to the connection flow.
How do I connect my LinkedIn account?
You can connect LinkedIn from three places — they all use the same flow:
- Personal > Integrations > LinkedIn tab
- Organization > Integrations > LinkedIn card
- The LinkedIn Dashboard
Steps:
- Navigate to any of the surfaces above. You will see two sections: Account configuration and Connected accounts.
- If no account is connected yet, the Connected accounts section shows “No LinkedIn account connected” with a helper note: “You’ll be redirected to LinkedIn to authorize the connection.”
- Click Connect LinkedIn account.
- A toast appears: “Redirecting to LinkedIn authentication…” and your browser redirects to LinkedIn.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the permissions.
- On return, you will see a toast: “LinkedIn account connected successfully!” and your account appears as a profile card with a green Connected badge.
What if my LinkedIn account shows as disconnected?
If the profile card shows an Disconnected or Connection issue badge:
- The card displays an error message and a Reconnect account button.
- Click Reconnect account (or open the three-dot Account actions menu and choose Reconnect).
- Your browser redirects to LinkedIn again to re-authorize.
How do I disconnect a LinkedIn account?
- On the connected profile card, open the three-dot Account actions menu.
- Click Disconnect (shown in red).
- The Disconnect LinkedIn Account modal asks you to confirm. Click Disconnect to remove the account, or Cancel to keep it.
How do I connect my calendar?
Calendar connection lives under Personal > Integrations > Calendars tab. It is also accessible from the Scheduled Interviews page.
- Open Personal Integrations and click the Calendars tab.
- The page title reads Calendar Integrations. The Connected calendar accounts section shows either connected accounts or an empty state.
- If no accounts are connected, click Connect Google or Connect Microsoft depending on your calendar provider.
- Your browser redirects to Google or Microsoft to authorize Vitae’s access to your calendar.
- On successful return, a toast confirms: “Calendar connected successfully” and the account card appears showing your email address, a provider label (e.g. Google Calendar or Microsoft Calendar), and a green Connected badge.
Once more accounts are connected, Add Google and Add Microsoft outline buttons appear so you can add additional calendars.
How do I disconnect a calendar?
- On the connected account card, click Disconnect.
- The Are you sure? modal shows the account email and a warning that you will need to reconnect to use it again.
- Click Yes, revoke access to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.
- A toast confirms: “Calendar disconnected successfully”
What does each integration unlock?
| Integration | What it enables |
|---|---|
| Gmail | Campaigns can send outbound emails from your Gmail address; it appears as a sender option in the campaign’s Account To Use field. |
| LinkedIn account | LinkedIn outreach steps in campaigns, LinkedIn messaging via the LinkedIn tab in Messages, and per-account daily invite and message limits tracked in the LinkedIn Dashboard. |
| Google or Microsoft Calendar | Interview scheduling in ATS & Pipeline — Vitae checks your real availability and creates calendar events automatically; visible in Scheduled Interviews and recruiter scheduling flows. |
