LinkedIn messaging is gated because LinkedIn requires approved partner/API access for message send and read APIs. Vitae.ai must not ship unofficial scraping or browser automation for this surface.

Status

The integration is registered in the Nango catalogue as linkedin-messaging, but runtime messaging is blocked until approved access is confirmed.

Required production flag:

LINKEDIN_MESSAGING_APPROVED_API_ACCESS=true

Set this only after LinkedIn partner/API access is approved and the Nango linkedin-messaging provider config is ready. Infrastructure credentials alone do not enable messaging.

Scope

Allowed after approval:

• Connect a LinkedIn messaging account through the approved provider config.
• Send one-to-one messages to existing connections.
• Read and log message references on candidate timelines.

Not allowed:

• Scraping or browser automation.
• Bulk or automated outreach.
• InMail credit automation.
