What is Vitae.ai?

Vitae.ai is an AI-powered talent acquisition platform for recruiting agencies and in-house teams. It provides candidate search, job matching, outreach automation, and pipeline management via a REST API and product app.

Is there a self-hosted version?

The platform is currently cloud-hosted. Contact the team for enterprise and self-hosted options.

What regions does the API operate in?

The API is globally available. Contact us for data residency requirements.

What is the base URL?

https://api.vitae.ai/v1

How do I get an API token?

Use an organization token issued by the Vitae.ai team, or an authenticated app session token. Public self-serve API keys are planned. See Authentication.

Are there rate limits?

Yes. The API enforces per-account rate limits. You’ll receive a 429 response with a Retry-After header if you exceed them.

Where are the full API docs?

The interactive Swagger reference is at docs.vitae.ai/api.

Outreach

Will email sequences stop if a candidate replies?

Yes. Sequences automatically unenroll candidates when a reply is detected on the connected email account.

What LinkedIn actions are automated?

Connection requests (with optional note) and direct messages. LinkedIn InMail is not supported.

Are there LinkedIn rate limits?

LinkedIn enforces limits on automated activity. Vitae.ai queues messages and surfaces warnings when you’re approaching thresholds.

Data

What CV file formats are supported?

PDF, DOCX, DOC, and TXT.

Can I import existing candidate data?

Yes. Use the POST /v1/candidate-profiles endpoint to create records in bulk, or contact the team for data migration support.
